My mother has been living at Family Connect Care Greenwood for a year and I wish I had known about the residence sooner. I am so happy with the excellent and nurturing care that she receives and the stimulating activities, both indoors and outside, that she is encouraged to participate in. My mother is unable to communicate well, but the caregivers are very responsive to her and engage her in conversation.
I am always kept up to date on her physical condition and they even send pictures and videos of the residents participating in activities. It’s always fun to receive a picture when special events and holidays are celebrated and so heartwarming to see them interacting with the caregivers.
The residence is always clean and my family and friends who have visited my mother have commented on how there are no smells like other facilities. The cleanliness of the residence was one of the first things I noticed during my first visit. The patio area is truly lovely with garden areas where flowers, fruit and vegetables grow. There are covered areas where the residents are seated when the weather is nice and where they eat their lunch or engage in activities. This is definitely a plus when it comes to their overall health.
It has truly been a blessing to have my mother so well taken care of and she has definitely thrived. I feel the homelike atmosphere has really been comforting to her and I can’t think of a better place for her to be living.
